जनरेशन जेड आन्दोलनका क्रममा जेल र हिरासतबाट भागेका करिब ७,३०० कैदीमध्ये ६,८०० भन्दा बढी अझै फरार छन्। सेप्टेम्बर ९ मा आगजनी र क्षतिको बीच कैदीहरू जेल र प्रहरी हिरासतबाट भागेका थिए।फरारमध्ये लागूऔषध तस्करी, हत्या, डकैती, बलात्कार, तस्करी, भ्रष्टाचार र ठगी प्रकरणका दोषी तथा अभियुक्तहरू छन्। उच्च प्रोफाइल फरारमध्ये पूर्व उपप्रधानमन्त्री टोप बहादुर रायमाझी, राष्ट्रिय स्वतन्त्र पार्टी अध्यक्ष रबि लामिछाने र सुन तस्करी प्रकरणका दोषी चूडामणि उप्रेती पनि रहेका थिए।प्रहरीले १,२०० भन्दा बढी हतियार र १ लाख गोलीहरू लुटिएको बताएका छन् र सुरक्षा चुनौती बढेको चेतावनी दिएका छन्। अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सीमा क्षेत्रमा सुरक्षा कडा गरिएको छ।
