काठमाडौं । सरकारले सांसद तथा राजनीतिक पदाधिकारीहरूलाई उपलब्ध गराइँदै आएको स्वकीय सचिव (पिएस) सुविधा खारेज गर्ने निर्णय गरेको छ ।

त्यस्तै, प्रदेश तथा स्थानीय तहमा सल्लाहकार नियुक्त गर्न नपाइने व्यवस्था गरिएको छ ।

अर्थ मन्त्रालयका अनुसार, खर्च कटौती र कार्यक्षमता बढाउने उद्देश्यले यस्तो निर्णय गरिएको हो । अबदेखि सांसद, प्रदेशसभा सदस्य वा स्थानीय तहका निर्वाचित जनप्रतिनिधिले स्वकीय सचिव वा सल्लाहकार राख्न पाउने छैनन् ।

तर, राष्ट्रपति, उपराष्ट्रपति, प्रधानमन्त्री, सभामुख, राष्ट्रिय सभाका अध्यक्ष, प्रदेश प्रमुख, नेपाल सरकारका मन्त्री तथा प्रदेश सरकारका मन्त्रीहरूले भने स्वकीय सचिव राख्न सक्नेछन् ।

अर्थ मन्त्रालयका अधिकारीहरूले यो निर्णयले राज्यको खर्च नियन्त्रणमा आउने र पदाधिकारीहरूलाई कार्यसम्पादनमा अझ जिम्मेवार बन्न प्रेरित गर्ने विश्वास व्यक्त गरेका छन् ।

सरकारको यो कदमलाई कतिपयले स्वागत गरेका छन् भने केहीले जनप्रतिनिधिको कार्यभार बढ्ने भन्दै आलोचना पनि गरेका छन् ।
